Jackson Certification Services is a women owned business located in the Great Lakes Bay Region area of Michigan in Saginaw. We have been in service for over 10+ years taught by a Registered Nurse of 20+ years with a long-time history working in the emergency room.
We are also a Regional Testing Site through Headmaster which is honored to be approved by Michigan (LARA) offering Nurse Aide Testing and Registry Services.
Our main client population is medical staff, medical students, agency staff, day care workers, adult foster care homes, nursing homes, plant industry workers, firefighters, law enforcement, security officers, physical therapist, fitness instructors, personal trainers, outdoor adventure guides, flight attendants, social workers, counselors, construction workers, food service workers, prison personnel, church attendants, school staff, pet groomers, kennel staff, pet shelter staff, first time & long time pet owners, boarders and pet sitters. We strive to provide top-notch quality and services to make trainings and testing as stress-free as possible for our clients.
Meet The Owner
Archia D. Jackson is a Saginaw, Michigan native. She holds a Bachelor of Science in nursing, a bachelor’s degree in management & organizational development and a master’s degree in science administration with a concentration in health care administration.

Archia has provided services through many avenues of nursing to include orthopedic medicine, medical pulmonary, mental health, substance use, occupational health, long-term acute care (LTAC) and mostly emergency medicine. She has performed in multiple roles throughout her 20+ years of nursing as a charge nurse, house supervisor, nurse manager and director of nursing. Archia remains active with bedside nursing at a local hospital in the Emergency Room. Archia has been an independent contractor through American Heart Association as a BLS CPR Instructor for 10+ years and building a business over the past 2 years for Jackson Certification Services to include BLS Provider CPR, CPR/First Aid with AED Combo, Blood borne Pathogens Training, Opioid Overdose Training and First Aid/CPR for pets through Pro Pet Hero Association. JCS is also an independent contractor as a regional testing site for nurse aides through Headmaster Diversified Solutions certified by the State of Michigan (LARA).

Archia and her husband Otis established a nonprofit organization 501c3 Great Lakes Bay Community Resource Association (GLBCRA) which is very in tuned with the community that focus on and give support to the underserved & general population in the Great Lakes Bay Region whether it’s medical, financial, social, or educational resources needed to capture school age, teens, adults and senior citizens.

Archia is an Associate Board member for Health Advantage Federal Credit Union, member of the Nursing Advisory Committee for Saginaw Career Complex, Member of the Michigan Nursing Association and a proud member of Gamma Psi Sigma Chapter, Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, INC.

Archia has been married to her high school sweetheart, Otis W. Jackson II for 29 years. She has two adult children, LaTia S. Jackson and Otis W. Jackson III. She also adores her pet Pitbull Isis.

Heartsaver CPR/AED w/First Aid combo (Foster care, day care, foundry workers, construction workers, home care, airline, police)For anyone with limited or no medical training who needs to learn how to respond to and manage a first aid, choking or sudden cardiac arrest emergency in the first few minutes until emergency responders or healthcare professionals take over. Students learn skills such as how to treat bleeding, sprains, broken bones, shock and other first aid emergencies. This course also teaches adult CPR and AED use. Reflects science and education from the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC).

Bloodborne Pathogens Training (Correctional Officers, Childcare workers, Security guards, Maintenance workers, School personnel, Hotel housekeepers, Health and fitness club staff, and Tattoo artist staff, Airline)The Heartsaver Bloodborne Pathogens course teaches students how to protect themselves and others from being exposed to blood or blood-containing materials. This course is designed to meet Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements for bloodborne pathogens training when paired with site-specific instruction. Heartsaver w/AED only (medical/non medical)The Heartsaver CPR AED course trains participants to give CPR and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) in a safe, timely, and effective manner. First Aid OnlyThe Heartsaver First Aid course trains participants first aid basics for the most common first aid emergencies, including how to recognize them, how to call for help, and how to perform lifesaving skills. Reflects science and education from the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) and the 2015 AHA/Red Cross Guidelines for First Aid.

Family/FriendsThe Family & Friends CPR Course teaches the lifesaving skills of adult Hands-Only CPR, adult CPR with breaths, child CPR with breaths, adult and child AED use, infant CPR, and mild and severe airway block for adults, children, and infants. Skills are taught in a dynamic group environment using the AHA’s research-proven practice-while-watching technique, which provides students with the most hands-on CPR practice time possible.

CPR for our fury Friends (cats/dogs)This course teaches CPR/first aid techniques to address the most common emergencies that can occur with small and large cats & dogs. This course will train you to notice abnormalities and detect early warning signs in pets. You will also learn essential pre-vet care and life saving techniques for those times when immediate action can make all the difference.
